Had a brush with death on Sunday, got knocked off my bicycle by a Porsche. He looked like he was racing another car from the traffic lights and neither of them would give way to the other so when the road got narrow just got closer to the curb, unfortunately that's where I was. So his wing mirror struck my handle bar, spinning my front wheel around yanking my right arm and knocking me down to the road. My first thought after discovering I was lying down in the road was to get out of the road before another car came along to hit me, so I did. The Porsche didn't stop, but did leave part of his wing mirror so hopefully that'll be costly. I was left just a bit bruised and aching, but I'm okay could've been a lot worse. That's the first time I've ever been hit by a car and the first time I've gone cycling in South East London, not something I'd like to happen again, at least I was wearing my cycle helmet.

Haven't had much time to write here much recently, probably because I've been so busy. It's grand to be back in London, I can go out staight after work and don't have to think about how I'm going to get home. The flat is coming along well, I'll have heating by next monday and hopefully I'll have got a shower installed soon too. It's quite weird going out and buying basic stuff for the kitchen and flat. I've got to go and get a few more pictures and things to make the whole place more homely.
