Soon people will point and shout 'haircut!' because that's right my long flowing locks have gone. Okay they hadn't really been that long in a while but it was still long as compared to short. Now I have short spikey hair and feel and damn site more attractive, curiously I also feel like I'm perminently wearing sunglasses on top of my head which I don't quite understand (yes those sunglasses Justin) it's a good job it's warm that's all I can say. I may or may not post pictures. (My mum said I look like I'd been scalped, a comment which I'm trying to forget).

Oh and England and the USA are out of the World Cup/Cup Mundial, good effort boys. So now I can go back to being me and stop talking about football. Although I'm playing for Ecuador in the BBC World Service 5 a side world cup tomorrow so maybe it'll be the end of the weekend before I stop. And I've made a promise to myself not to get injured this time.

More eye problems this morning, fortunately I managed to to remove three eye lashes and a small piece of grit from my eye, fingers crossed it should be fine now once it's stopped being all swallon and out of focus.

Just been to the doctors, which is always fun. I went because I'd got something in my eye two days previously and it wasn't coming out, so I booked a doctors appointment as I knew by the time I saw him the thing in my eye would've have gone. Needless to say it had gone so all he got to say was 'oooh swollen eye' but it worked so now my eye doesn't ache so much. The rather amusing aside to all this was I cut my nose shaving this morning, yes I don't know how that's possible either I blame the eye, but I had to go and see the doctor whilst holding a tissue to my bleeding nostral, all very strange.

In work at 7.30am, I must be mad you say, well you'd say "you must be mad" but you know what I mean. But I came in to watch the Football in the bar at work, I think everyone else in the whole country did it too, as the trains were completely packed. It wasn't the best game in the world but at least we're through to the next round From now on we just have to win every game, what fun ;-)

The BBC bar crowd gasps, ooo, ahhh. Watching football is a funny old thing, but it's great when you team wins. The world cup, as it's on every telly I may as well watch it and crucially enjoy it.
